What today should be.

Apex reads your goal, your recovery, and whatever's hurting, and writes you a training brief for the day — the session, the intensity, and the protein and carbs to put around it.

It is written by an AI model (Claude), for one athlete, from your own numbers. When it doesn't know how recovered you are, it says so and backs off — it never guesses your readiness and then prescribes off the guess.

Your brief is written once a day. Some time after 8am in your timezone, Apex refreshes your last seven days of WHOOP data and writes that day's brief from it. If a day's brief hasn't been written by 8pm your time, it's skipped rather than delivered late. Your first brief is the exception — it arrives as soon as you finish setup, whatever the hour.

What you get

Five sections. Every time.

The shape never changes, so you always know where to look.

  1. 01

    Readiness call

Where your body is today, and the intensity ceiling that sets.

  2. 02

    Today's priorities

Two to four things, most important first.

  3. 03

    Training prescription

The actual session — what, how much, how hard, how much rest. Or an explicit rest day.

  4. 04

    Nutrition

Protein and carbohydrate against your bodyweight, weighted to your goal.

  5. 05

    Note

One thing worth knowing. A trend, a warning, or a win.

Every brief is labelled with where its readiness number came from — your wearable this morning, something you logged yourself, a reading that's several days old, or nothing at all. A stale or missing reading is stated at the top, and everything below it is prescribed conservatively. The numbers shown alongside the brief are read straight from your data — the model that writes the prose cannot put a figure there.

What it asks for

Five things, and nothing else.

Your goal
The sport, what you're chasing, and the date you want it by. Every brief is written against that date.
Your height and weight
Optional. Nutrition is prescribed per kilo of bodyweight, so if you skip your weight that section stays qualitative instead of giving you grams.
Anything injured
Body part, how bad, and any notes. The brief works around it rather than prescribing into it.
Where you train
Your sport's venue and a gym, part of that, or just you and the outdoors — plus one line in your own words. The brief only names equipment and places you actually have, so a home setup gets a session you can do rather than one written for a gym you don't train at.
Recovery and sleep
Connect WHOOP and Apex reads recovery, sleep, strain, workouts, heart-rate variability and resting heart rate, and keeps WHOOP's full response so your data can be reprocessed later — it pulls your last seven days on the spot, and never posts anything to your account. No wearable is fine: recovery and sleep by hand takes about thirty seconds a day, and a brief treats a number you typed exactly as seriously as one a strap measured.

Not asked for

No glucose, no medication, no medical records, no card. There is nothing to pay — this is a pilot. Before anything else you'll be asked to agree to one statement: that your goal, height and weight, injuries, where you train, recovery and sleep are sent to Apex's AI provider to write your brief. That is everything your brief is written from, and you tick it yourself. Two things sit outside it, for completeness: your timezone, so the brief knows when your day starts, and the IP address you consented from.

How long setup takes

Five steps. About three minutes.

Step 3 is the only one that asks you to decide anything. Add a minute if you connect WHOOP — that's a round trip to their login and back.

  1. 01

    Consent

One statement, one checkbox. What data goes to the AI, and why.

  2. 02

    Goal

Basketball, running, lifting, physique — or type your own sport.

  3. 03

    The target

What you're chasing and by when. Height and weight if you want nutrition in grams.

  4. 04

    Where you train, and injuries

Your sport's venue and a gym, part of that, or just you and the outdoors. Then anything currently hurting — skip that part if you're clean.

  5. 05

    Wearable

Connect WHOOP, or choose to log by hand.

Your first brief is written the moment you finish — a couple of minutes later it's on screen, built from whatever you just gave us. If that's no wearable and no history, the brief opens by saying it has nothing to go on and prescribes accordingly. That is the product working, not failing.

Where Apex is today

Two things that aren't built yet

  • Nothing is emailed. Your brief lives in the app, at /brief. Bookmark it.
  • WHOOP is the only wearable. Others are wired at the login layer but no brief can read their data, so Apex doesn't offer them — a connection that silently feeds nothing is worse than no connection.

Ready when you are.
